As soon as we Google searched for an eco-friendly and local florist to help us with our September wedding, Ellie at Hellebores and Hedgerows appeared and we knew she was the one for the job. And boy, did she absolutely smash it! We had our day at Longton Wood where Ellie decorated the archway at the end of the ceremony area with seasonal and local foliage supplemented with accents of white flowers, sprigs and berries. It was so beautiful, we had to walk back down to the ceremony area a little later in the day to fully take in and appreciate Ellie’s work as we didn't feel we spend enough time admiring it during the actual ceremony. We also had a transparent marquee located in a clearing amongst the trees and wanted lots of green foliage to hang above our trestle tables amongst the festoon lighting. What Ellie created was perfection, it really complimented the rest of our DIY decoration beautifully bringing the outside, in, without blocking off the view of the trees above. It was honestly magical and was better than anything we envisioned when we initially booked her. To top it off, Ellie was an absolute delight throughout the entire process – kind and super professional with great communication. She even gifted me some dried flowers to put in my hair as well as a little bunch of ruscus which I really appreciated as I wanted to avoid buying from non-local suppliers and supermarkets as much as possible. Due to everything with Covid19, We were unable to hold our big wedding this year, however Ellie still made us a beautiful smaller bouquet and buttonhole for our mini registry office ceremony. She honestly went above and beyond to help us out, and I would recommend her to anybody and everybody. And, on top of all of that, her flowers are grown locally and organically.
